Family-run online UK medical clinic

Personal weight-loss support, wherever you are.

GP-led medical weight management from a family-run online clinic, with personal assessment, treatment discreetly delivered to your home, and ongoing support from a small team that knows you.

A suitability check is not an automatic treatment decision. Every patient is thoroughly reviewed by our clinical team before discussing potential treatment options during a video call.

We're a small, GP-led clinic by choice—giving us the time to know our patients, monitor their progress and support them throughout their treatment.

    Is this right for you?

Start with a clinical conversation, not a promise.

Medical weight management is not suitable for everyone. Our clinicians look at your circumstances as a whole before discussing whether treatment may be appropriate.

    Suitability is based on:

    • Adults who meet specific clinical criteria
    • A review of your medical history and current medication
    • A personalised decision based on your overall health

We do not prescribe for cosmetic weight loss. Completing the suitability form does not guarantee your treatment.

    Why choose us

A small clinic with time for the person behind the numbers.

We are a family-run medical weight-loss clinic—not a high-volume service. Keeping our team small means we can listen carefully, explain your options clearly, and provide continuity of care.

    Meet the team

    A clinic that knows you

We intentionally keep our clinic small, so your care feels personal rather than like a one-size-fits-all service.

    Clinically responsible

Every prescribing decision follows a thorough assessment of your health, medical history, and individual circumstances.

    Support beyond a prescription

You have an experienced clinical team to turn to for questions, monitoring, and follow-up throughout your treatment.

Dr Christopher Herman, the GP leading The Slimming Doctor

    Meet the team

You’ll know who is looking after you.

The clinic is led by Dr Chris Herman, a UK-registered GP with a special interest in obesity. He is supported by his wife, Sandra Herman, a qualified general nurse and midwife with experience in diabetes care and health promotion.

Together, our team brings a thoughtful, safety-first approach to every patient review.

These personal experiences reflect the support and care patients received from our team.

It was really helpful to have a consultation to ask questions and explore my expectations. Dr Herman explained everything clearly, and it was reassuring to know that I would have regular check-ins throughout treatment.

    Questions, answered

Before you take the next step

Here are some of the questions patients ask us most often.

Is GLP-1 treatment suitable for everyone?

No. Treatment suitability depends on your BMI, weight-related health conditions, medical history, current medications, and overall risk assessment. We do not prescribe for cosmetic weight loss.

What happens before medication is prescribed?

Before prescribing, we send you a detailed medical questionnaire, review your current medications, BMI and health risk assessment, screening for contraindications, and clinical review by a UK-registered GP. Additional information may be requested if required for safe decision-making.

What are the possible side effects?

Common side effects may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, constipation and abdominal discomfort. More serious side effects are uncommon but discussed during your consultation. For urgent medical issues, contact 999 in an emergency or NHS 111 for urgent advice. We are not an emergency service.

Can I obtain medication without a consultation?

No. GLP-1 medicines are prescription-only and require clinical assessment.
